Its finally here! Just a little over 2 hours ago, search engine giant Google officially launched its very own mobile phone, the Google Nexus One. To feature the newest Android operating system, the Android 2.1 (code name Eclair), and powered by a super fast 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processing unit, the Nexus One and its design team at Google and it manufacturing partners at HTC packed enough fire power to give the current #1 smart phone, Apple iPhone, a run for its money. Attributes include a 3.7-inch OLED touchscreen display, a voice activated keyboard, a Live Wallpaper, 3D photo gallery, and the slew of Google powered applications, including Gmail, Google Maps, and more…
Whats more, because the Android project was created under the premises of open source. Google will offer its Nexus One to the consuming public via an unique retail method, a new online store devoted to the purchase of the phone through a streamlined 5 Steps process. Select from mobile service providers such as T-Mobile, Verizon, or Vodafone, the dedicated online store will also offer the option of contract-free phone for the first time. With the new year just started, it will be interesting to see what else 2010 will offer technophiles.
